Part Four: Easter
Let's get right to the point. Easter as it is widely known in the Christian community has a long history that involves idolatry(spiritual adultery) through fertility rites and other sexual undertones. The word Easter is only encountered one time in the English version of the Bible. This occurrence is in Acts 12:4, "And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people."
It's not the original word that was there. This Greek word is encountered 29 times in the New Testament. It is translated as Passover 28 times. Only this one time is it rendered Easter. Look at the word, Easter here. It is not Easter in the Greek, it is 3957 pascha {pas'-khah}, the paschal sacrifice (which was accustomed to be offered for the people's deliverance of old from Egypt). That's right! THE PASSOVER, not Easter, PASSOVER!

So where did Easter come from? How did Christians start calling it Easter? Easter is an English word whose etymology spans for centuries. All the way back to Babylonian times. "Easter" came from "Eastre" or "Eostre" which is what druids called their goddess of fertility. This goddess is the same as Ashtoreth/Astarte/Ishtar and others known as the "Queen of Heaven".
Jeremiah 7:17-19, "Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?"
These cakes they were making, are known as Hot cross buns today. The children of Israel had went after this other "god", denying the God of Abraham. Children of God are doing the same thing today in the Churches across the globe. Traditions are dangerous!

Some may say, "well people don't know about this and they are not doing it to worship some other god." True, but these things being done are things that were done to worship another god, and not what the Bible teaches us to do. Not what God said to do. Jesus specifically told us to "Do this in remembrance of me."
Luke 22:13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the Passover.
Luke 22:14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
Luke 22:15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer:
Luke 22:16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. Luke 22:17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: Luke 22:18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. Luke 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Luke 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
So the disciples celebrated the Passover and with Christ it made it the first Christian Passover, whereby his blood was shed for all. Furthermore; to prove, look at 1st Corinthians 5:7, "Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:"
Christ is our Passover, not bunnies, not hiding eggs. The bunny, eggs, hot cross buns, they are all parts of pagan worship. So to have these vulgar things within the church is an abomination against the Father, who sent His Son so that we would love him. Teach the children well. Some may ignore this message and continue. Continue in sin, because you now know what these practices really are! I hope you will do as Christ commanded us and not as man has added. As Luke above says. We are to celebrate the Passover, with the added deepness of Christ within it. To take "communion" as it is called. Eating the bread and drinking the wine in remembrance of Yahshua, Jesus. The "Easter" of today is not even celebrated at the right time of the year. The date is specific in the Old testament. It was to be observed from the fourteenth day to the twentieth day of the first month. This first month is the Hebrew month known as Nisan, which is considered the first month on the Hebrew Calendar. To better specify, Nisan begins on the first day of the vernal equinox(i.e. spring). So from the 14th to the 21st day of spring the feast was to be observed. Not on the traditional Sunday as most people do now. I go into great detail on the Passover in Passover: The Sacrificial Lamb . Soon to be posted on the web site. So we are to celebrate the Passover, not a bunch of pagan traditions brought into the church by men. This spiritual adultery(Idolatry) is just another example of the abominations that are allowed into the church these days. To observe these rituals: hiding and hunting eggs, Bunny Rabbits, cakes to the queen of heaven. Is like pouring hot coals on your Father's head. It hurts him very deeply, that you do not know him well enough, that you know he doesn't want that. I hope you will see this, and I pray you will heed it. Please your Father, he will bless you for it. YHVH Bless.
