Homosexuality In The Church

Part I: The Introduction
A sensitive subject? Yes it is. But it must be spoken of whether you like it or not. There is a growing trend in the Religious Community. I say religious, because allowing certain things that we speak of here, would seem that they are not Christian. They call themselves Christian, yet allow these abominations into the Church. As the headline introduces, homosexuality is running rampant in the church and it must be stamped out! It is time to wake up and smell the coffee, quit playing church and be doers of the Word of God. Yet, what I say does not matter compared to what God's Word says about the situation.
Now, do not take this as my demanding that all homosexuals be banned from the Church. This is not what I am saying at all! Christianity is based on love. That is the bottom line. We are to love one another even as Jesus loved us. That is an unconditional love. God loves each of us, but He does not LIKE a lot of what we do. He has given commandments, our schoolmaster to teach us when we do wrong. So if something IS in fact against the teachings of God, then we are in sin for as it is written, "Sin is the transgression of the law"- 1st John 3:4
Finally; if something is a sin, then being comfortable with it is not acceptable to the Father. If you are openly "gay" and comfortable with it, saying you are saved, you are really not saved because the Holy Spirit has not convicted you of the abomination. If you have accepted Christ and know that your homosexuality is wrong and try to resist it, you are saved, God loves you and will help you with your struggle. All sin comes from lust. It is our lust for things, whether material or sexual that causes us to sin. Our lust for the fleshly desire brings us immediately in conviction under the Holy Spirit. For "...when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished bringeth forth death." - James 1:15

Note: I do not hate those who follow the homosexual lifestyle. But I do not condone it, either.
If you claim to be a follower of Christ, and continue in this sin, please consider this teaching.
We all sin, and fall short of the glory of God. Repent and change, to conform to the image of Christ, which is pleasing to God.
